Lakselaget has the opportunity for an exclusive sneak preview of The Way to Letnes, an expertly produced and heartwarming documentary that brilliantly captures a Norwegian-American family's journey to connect back to their roots in Norway. Prior to Covid, US-based Letnes relatives began planning a Letnes family reunion at the Letnes farm in Inderøy, Norway. Michael Lewis looked forward to finally bringing his mother Linda Letnes Lewis to Norway to see the family farm. Sadly, Linda passed away before she could travel. With the reunion finally scheduled post-Covid, Michael hired a professional film crew with Hollywood experience to document their journey as he finally has the chance to travel to Norway and connect to his mother's roots. 

This high quality and engaging film, which captures a quintessential story of the Norwegian-American experience, is sure to be featured during the 2025 Bicentennial year of Norwegian immigration.

Janet Letnes Martin (Linda’s sister, Lakselaget charter member) will join the October meeting to talk about the film project. She will be most appreciative of questions, comments, and feedback from the audience.
